The Parent Advocacy Training (P.A.T.) program helps parents build knowledge and confidence as they become advocates for their children living with hearing loss and work with local school districts and service providers. P.A.T. provides a step-by-step overview of the legal framework, process for creating an Individualized Education Program (IEP), rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the school district’s rights and responsibilities. The program is about 90 minutes long, and participants may logout and come back at the point they left off.
